Who We Are
Impact 100 Redwood Circle is a giving circle of women of all ages and backgrounds who are passionate about making our community a better place. We work together to inspire one another to learn about philanthropy, give back, and volunteer. We believe that together we can truly Make an Impact.
We empower Sonoma County women to invest in a more sustainable nonprofit community through collective giving and responsible stewardship. Impact 100 Redwood Circle is committed to supporting and enabling local women to serve as philanthropic leaders by collectively funding significant grants that will make a lasting impact in our community.
Impact 100 Redwood Circle comprises women committed to making an annual donation of $1000. Members nominate local nonprofits based on critical needs in our community. Committees review nominations and present finalists to the entire membership for voting. Currently, the annual awards include one “Impact Grant” of $100,000, two Merit Grants, and “Community Grants” depending upon funds available.
Today, the group has 249 members engaged in meetings, socials, and educational workshops, all in support of the grant cycles and understanding the impact of our philanthropy in Sonoma County. As of November 7, 2020, a total of $765,000 has been awarded since our founding. This includes five $100,000 Impact grants, four Merit Grants, and five rounds of Community Grants.
All Impact 100 Redwood Circle funds are managed by the Community Foundation Sonoma County, a 501(C)(3) organization. Tax ID 68-0003212. Payments to these funds are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
