The Finalist Merit Grants are intended to show our appreciation for the time and effort the two finalists devoted to our rigorous application process and may be used at each organization’s discretion. Finalist Merit Grant recipients are not required to use the grants to fund their Impact Grant proposals since the dollar amount of the merit grants represents a small fraction of their proposed project budget.
Legal Aid of Sonoma County provides life-saving legal help to the most vulnerable people in our community. Their new Homelessness Prevention Project helps tenants facing imminent homelessness in the eviction process and helps homeless people obtain housing, by removing financial and legal barriers that keep them on the street.
