Join Impact 100 Redwood Circle
Impact 100 Redwood Circle is a Women’s Giving Circle. Our membership of 249 women all shares a single purpose: to make a difference in Sonoma County.
Membership requires a $1,000 annual donation that may be made as an Individual Member (single payment of $1,000) or as a Dyad Member (shared with another member for payments of $500 each). In addition, each member (Individual or Dyad) pays an annual $100 administrative fee to cover meeting venues, event expenses, office supplies, and technology fees.
Donations are combined each calendar year to make awards for the next calendar year. Since awarding our first grants in 2016, Impact 100 Redwood Circle has awarded grants totaling $765,000. The cornerstone of our grants is our annual $100,000 Impact Grant. Community Grants of $10,000 and more are awarded based on available funds after the Impact Grant has been allocated.
Members nominate nonprofits for both the Impact and Community Grants. The nominations are thoroughly vetted and finalists selected by the respective committees. Members vote on all finalists. Each full membership is allowed one vote, and a Dyad membership shares a single vote with the member sharing the membership.
As a Member of Impact 100 Redwood Circle, you have the option of participating at a level that is most comfortable for you. You may donate, attend meetings, participate in ED TALKS, vote, or join a committee. There are no minimum participation requirements. The choice is yours.
All donations are managed by the Community Foundation Sonoma County, a 501(c)(3) organization, and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and individual tax circumstances.
Donor-Advised Fund Transfer
You may be able to donate via a Qualified Charitable Distribution, whereby the funds travel directly from your financial institution to the Community Foundation Sonoma County. Please check with your financial advisor or tax planner before taking this step.
Funds transfers are designated on membership and donation forms and transferred directly to the Community Foundation Sonoma County, Attn Impact 100 Redwood Circle. Please provide the name of the organization and fund you will be transferring funds from.
