Impact 100 Redwood Circle’s Mission
Creating transformative, lasting change in Sonoma County through the collective philanthropy of women.
WHO WE ARE
Impact 100 Redwood Circle is a giving circle that welcomes women of all ages and experiences who are passionate about making Sonoma County a better place. We are committed to inspiring and empowering local women to serve as philanthropic leaders by collectively funding significant grants that will make a lasting impact in our community.
WHAT WE DO
- We encourage Sonoma County women to invest in our goal to create a more sustainable nonprofit community through collective giving and responsible stewardship.
- We educate our members about local needs and work collaboratively to award grants that make an impact in Sonoma County.
- We connect our members to meaningful opportunities to partner with local nonprofits.
- We offer events for women to network and socialize with other community-spirited women.
HOW WE DO IT
Impact 100 Redwood Circle members commit to making an annual charitable investment of $1,000 as an Individual Membership or Dyad Membership (2 members @ $500 each). Each grant cycle, members nominate local nonprofits for our grants. Eligible nominees are then invited to submit applications. Our volunteer grants subcommittees review and evaluate applications and present finalists to the entire membership for voting.
Our annual awards include one Impact Grant of $100,000, two Merit Grants, and multiple, smaller Community Grants. The dollar amounts of the Merit and Community Grants are determined each year depending upon funds available.
OUR IMPACT
Our ever-widening circle of 260+ women is inspired by the belief that our pooled resources can be leveraged into powerful positive effect to benefit our local nonprofits and the essential work they do. Our meetings and educational workshops are designed to create a strong network of philanthropists who wish to better understand our community’s needs and how they can best be addressed through our collective grant making.
Since 2015, Impact 100 Redwood Circle’s members have granted over $1.45 million to local nonprofits in Sonoma County in the form of Impact, Community and Merit Grants to 62 organizations.
