California Department of Justice’s Registry of Charitable Trusts – Search for charities on the Registry of Charitable Trusts website under the Registry Verification Search function. For a list of charities in Sonoma County, select Charity Registration for Registration Type and enter Sonoma in the County section. Note: Every charitable entity holding assets (cash or other forms of property) for charitable purposes or doing business in California, unless exempt, is required to register and file annual reports with the Attorney General.
