Our members have voted, approving three recommendations to be implemented in 2023 as follows:
- Convert all grants to Core Mission Support
- Retain our $100,000 Impact Grant and increase the dollar amount of the two Merit Grants
- Initiate a Focus Area Pilot Program
The focus area pilot will designate our $100,000 Impact Grant (and accompanying Merit Grants) for nonprofits operating in the Health/Community Betterment focus area. Our Community Grants will be designated exclusively for nonprofits operating in our other three focus areas: Arts and Culture; Education; Environment/Sustainability/Parks/Recreation.
The size of each Community Grant and Merit Grants will be increased to an amount to be determined by the funds available each year. This pilot seeks to provide a better balance of grants made to nonprofits operating in all four of our focus areas.
