When Carol retired in 2017, she took on a weekly volunteer role with Sonoma Family Meal. SFM was awarded an Impact 100 Redwood Circle Community Grant in 2022. That award was Carol’s introduction to the work of Impact 100 and was her impetus for joining. After joining in 2022 Carol signed up to work on the Community Grants committee which she says served as a great introduction to the work of Impact 100. After two years on Community Grants, she switched to the Liaison Committee to have a closer relationship with the awardees.
Professionally, Carol worked as a retail executive primarily in resource optimization and program management. Born in San Francisco Carol has lived in the Bay Area all her life. So strong is her love of the area that she convinced her employer to let her remain in Santa Rosa, even though she was based in New York, long before Covid made remote work commonplace. After 37 years in Santa Rosa Carol and her husband moved to Windsor this year to be closer to her son and daughter and their families.
