Dorothy Beattie

Dorothy is on her second year of serving on the Impact Grant Committee, and is co-chair of the Membership Committee. She has been a member since 2023.

Her professional career spans decades in the banking, and mortgage banking world primarily in the areas of trading and financial risk management. She spent part of that career on the software side of banking helping design and deliver large scale mortgage banking software. She started as a professional clarinet player, and smartly chose to get an MBA from Columbia University in New York City, followed by a CPA. She no longer plays the clarinet, and is retired now, and still owns a few clarinets.

She serves on the board of directors for 6th Street Playhouse (President) and Burbank Housing (Treasurer), and has many non-profit volunteer experiences in Sonoma County over the many years she has resided here.

Dorothy grew up in Los Gatos, California, and spent her career bouncing between jobs in New York City and San Francisco, and even as far afield as Melbourne, Australia. She first moved to Sonoma County following the earthquake in 1989 and is glad to be living in a beautiful rich community full of nature and soul and art.
